Mindful Monday

Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us.
Simple in concept, and often difficult to maintain consistently in our lives. Many feel bogged down by pain of the past, anxiety about the future, and overwhelmed and overbooked which is affecting our health, our relationships and our ability to be at peace with ourselves and our lives.
The practice of training our mind expands our ability to detach from thought, emotion and body sensation enough to witness them. In turn, this allows us to better regulate our emotions, train our brains to focus more efficiently and teach our bodies to de-stress when we lose our focus.
These sessions will help you start your week with new understanding of what mindfulness is, engage in practices and find new ways to take this state of mind in to your everyday life while connecting with others in the community!
